Billie is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Managing Partner and co-owner of Professional Counseling Associates with Dr. Raymond Branton and Dr. John Michael. She graduated with her Masters of Counseling degree from Phoenix Seminary. Billie has extensive experience – both personally and professionally - in helping children, adolescents, and families within the DCS/foster/adopt systems to heal from broken attachments and deep trauma wounds through a variety of roles including CASA, case manager, mentor, educator, foster and adoptive parent, and counselor. She is trained and specializes in healing trauma in individuals, couples, and families, as well as helping them work through various forms of abuse. In helping adults, adolescents, and children through the difficulties of life and strained relationships, Billie has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience to travel alongside those that are hurting and need encouragement and hope. Finally, Billie is forensically trained and a provider for the Maricopa County Superior Court. In her forensic role, she is able to provide therapeutic interventions, co-parenting counseling, court-ordered therapy, supervised visitation and other court-related activities.

Billie utilizes a variety of modalities for helping, including but not limited to EMDR, parts work, attachment theory, family systems work, and the Gottman Method. She will help you where help is needed through a sensitive, empathic therapeutic relationship, and she hopes to create a safe environment for you to work through thoughts, feelings, and emotions in order to lead you to more healthy and productive life-decisions, and solid relationships.

Billie is deeply involved in church activities both locally and worldwide, and has partnered with Christ Life Church in Zambia, Africa, working with Pastor Mulenga Chella’s team to train them in working through the pervasive trauma of the young street girls in their community. Billie loves to spend time with her husband, her four adult children and seven grandchildren. She enjoys being outdoors, going to the woods, and traveling within and out of the country.

 I am a life coach specializing in guidance during transitional periods such as divorce, relationships, familial strife, retirement,financial issues, or anywhere uncertainty ,confusion, trauma, or fear are affecting day to day life.  

Working with the question of "how" (to move on) more than "why" (I got here), I work together with clients to understand how their thoughts and mental state impact their physical stress. They will not just learn to "deal" with situations but their entire outlook and approach will adapt to a more positive and constructive thought process enabling the client to navigate situations in an emotionally mature, regulated state. 

 Working individually and on the periphery with clients using Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) to change stressful or negative assumptions and to associate them with truth, as well as define goals while reframing attitudes towards a person, situation or event. In turn this brings a more willing, and constructive participant to the collaborative table. 

  I am a Divorce Care Facilitator, a standing member of the NACM (National Association of Certified Mediators), A Dave Ramsey Master Financial Coach, a life coach in NLP ( Neuro Linguistic Programming) and an active member of IACC (International Association of Christian Counselors).
